Overview of Workshop:
The interaction between root emotions (such as anger, fear and sadness) and cortical thinking (thoughts, images and ideas) can create runaway feedback resulting in catastrophic emotional states. In order to break this feedback, patients need to be taught how to separate emotions from thoughts, identify the connections between them and then how to alter the connections in their feedback loops. Techniques for using hypnosis to achieve this therapeutic goal will be discussed.
-
Objectives of Workshop:
Participants will learn: 1. How to identify emotional feedback loops. 2. How to intervene and modify emotional feedback loops with hypnosis.
